We are actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team at the Elementary School level. As a SPED Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with special needs.


  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and challenges and use the information to tailor instruction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders.
  • Implement behavioral interventions and support strategies to address individual student needs.
  • Stay informed about best practices in special education and participate in professional development opportunities.


  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Connecticut State Teaching Certification in Special Education.
  • Previous experience working with elementary school students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
