Emergency Room Clinical Pharmacist - Northern CA

Emergency Room Clinical pharmacist at  400 bed hospital in Northern CA.
This regional medical center is an affliate of Northern CA's most reputable health systems.

This Pharmacist role will be based in the Emergency Department and will focus on serving patients in the ED.

Duties:

• Will Function as a drug specialist and therapy consultant in promoting optimum medication use
• Compounds, packages, labels, and dispenses drugs and intravenous admixture solutions
• Reviews and confirms accuracy of work performed by pharmacy technicians
• Reviews prescribed drug therapy for appropriateness, effectiveness, and safety based on specific data such as age of patient, disease state, and clinical status.
• Performs quality assurance, drug use evaluation, and adverse reactions reporting activities;

Qualifications:

• PharmD.  

• CA Licensed Pharmacist.

• Emergency Medicine experience.

• Residency in hospital pharmacy in Emergency Medicine
