In partnership with the local school district, we are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position in Kent, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team and positively impact the communication skills and development of students during the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs and goals.
- Provide therapy services targeting areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and voice.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' progress and ensure a consistent approach across settings.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Stay up to date with the latest research, techniques, and tools in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Washington.
- Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), but will consider Clinical Fellows (CF-SLP).
- Experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
