Job Title: Special Education Teacher - Multiple Openings

Soliant is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Special Education Teachers for multiple openings in Virginia for the 2023-2024 school year. These full-time positions require onsite presence and are ideal for candidates with prior schools experience. Candidates with specific caseload preferences are encouraged to indicate their preferences in their application.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide specialized instruction and support to students based on their unique learning requirements.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to create a cohesive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress, assess their strengths and areas for improvement, and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
• Implement behavioral interventions and strategies to manage challenging behaviors.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and growth.

Requirements:

• Valid Special Education certification in the state of Virginia.
• Prior experience working in schools or educational settings is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with the Virginia state special education regulations and guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of special education methodologies, strategies, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and fellow educators.
• Ability to adapt instructional approaches and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Availability to work onsite for the duration of the school year.
