We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at a school in Oroville, California for the 2023-2024 school year. As a COTA, you will work closely with occupational therapists to help students develop, improve, and maintain skills necessary for daily living and learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Assist students in developing fine motor skills, sensory integration, visual-motor skills, and activities of daily living.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' participation and progress in academic and social activities.
  • Document student progress and communicate with the occupational therapy team to adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEP goals.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California.
  • Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
