Position Overview: As an LPN with the Amherst School District, you will play a crucial role in providing professional healthcare support to students and staff within our educational community. Your primary responsibility will be to administer health services and ensure the safety and well-being of our students while on campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer routine and emergency medical care to students and staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Monitor and manage student health needs, including medication administration.
- Collaborate with school nurses and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Assist in promoting a healthy and safe school environment.
- Provide support during health-related emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student health concerns.
- Participate in professional development and training as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassion and empathy for working with students of all ages.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a school setting.
- Experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is a plus.
