We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and contribute to the well-being of our students and staff.

Position Overview: As an LPN with the Amherst School District, you will play a crucial role in providing professional healthcare support to students and staff within our educational community. Your primary responsibility will be to administer health services and ensure the safety and well-being of our students while on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer routine and emergency medical care to students and staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Monitor and manage student health needs, including medication administration.
  • Collaborate with school nurses and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • Assist in promoting a healthy and safe school environment.
  • Provide support during health-related emergencies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student health concerns.
  • Participate in professional development and training as required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Hampshire Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassion and empathy for working with students of all ages.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a school setting.
  • Experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is a plus.
