Soliant Health is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a school district in Beloit, WI for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to provide occupational therapy services to students on-site. The specific caseload will be discussed during the interview process to ensure a good fit for both the therapist and the students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students' individual needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' occupational therapy goals and objectives
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, targeting areas such as fine motor skills, sensory integration, visual-motor skills, and self-help skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic progress and participation in the school environment
- Monitor student progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations for students with disabilities
- Collaborate with other therapists and support staff to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to student care
Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin State license as an Occupational Therapist
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of best practices and evidence-based interventions in school-based occupational therapy
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
