Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) |(24/25 School Year)

Position Type: Full-Time (37.5 Hours per Week)
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in grades K-5 with diverse needs, including those in ASD classrooms.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students' therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other members of the educational team to implement therapy goals and objectives into students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Design and implement interventions to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and other areas impacting students' educational performance.
  • Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers and staff on strategies to promote student success in the classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with families to support carryover of therapy goals and strategies into the home setting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required records.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Occupational Therapist licensure in Massachusetts.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to students.
