Full Time Registered Nurse (RN) Position Available in Elizabeth City, NC

A school district located in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team for the 2023-2024 school year. This position offers full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) match. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to students in accordance with established protocols and policies
• Assess, monitor, and document students' health conditions and administer appropriate treatments
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement health plans for students with chronic conditions
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyles within the school community
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) license 
• Prior experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and school staff
• Ability to handle medical emergencies and provide immediate care when necessary
• Knowledge of current health and safety guidelines for schools
