Description:
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) looking for a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students? We are currently interviewing qualified applicants who are ready to inspire and motivate as Full-Time School Nurses for the 23-24 school year in Chicago, IL.
As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for learning. You'll be responsible for providing direct care, assessing student health needs, administering medications, and collaborating with school staff and families to support students' overall health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage students' health conditions and administer medications as needed.
- Provide first aid and emergency care as necessary.
- Develop and maintain individualized health care plans for students with chronic health conditions.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to promote a healthy school environment.
- Conduct health screenings and immunization compliance checks.
- Educate students on health-related topics, including nutrition and hygiene.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois RN license.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- School nursing experience is preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to support student health and well-being.
