Job Title: School Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care and health services to students in accordance with state regulations and district policies
• Assess and address the health needs of students, including managing chronic health conditions and providing emergency care as required
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with protocols
• Develop and implement individualized health plans (IHPs) for students with specialized health needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement strategies to promote student health and safety
• Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records for all students
• Provide health education and promote preventive measures to support the overall well-being of students
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, providing input and recommendations related to health-related accommodations and supports

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
• Knowledge of pediatric health care practices, regulations, and best practices
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for promoting student health and well-being
