Special Education Teacher

We are currently seeking a full-time special education teacher to join our team in the Englewood, CO area. The successful candidate will work with a diverse group of students with disabilities, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
• Provide direct instruction to students in small group or one-on-one settings
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the needs of individual students
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to support students' learning and progress
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about students' progress and needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services provided
• Caseload: Significant/Severe or Mild/Mod
• Full-time (37.5/hrs)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in special education or related field
• Valid Colorado teaching credential with special education authorization
• Experience working with students with disabilities
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
• Willingness to learn and grow as a professional
