Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school district in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time, school-based position is perfect for someone passionate about helping students achieve their communication goals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering speech and language therapy services to students.
- Implement treatment plans as outlined by the supervising SLP.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to target communication skills.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy notes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ IEP goals.
- Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Valid Indiana SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or therapeutic setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
