Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Norristown, PA for the 23-24 school year. This is a full-time position, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 3.30pm, and will require onsite work at the designated elementary school within the district. The district is looking for an SLP who is passionate about helping students develop their speech and language skills and is experienced in working with elementary-aged children.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific communication needs and goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders or delays
  • Target various speech and language areas, such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension and expression, fluency, and social communication skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication development in the classroom and other settings
  • Monitor students' progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' goals and objectives
  • Offer consultation and training to teachers and staff on effective strategies and accommodations for students with communication needs
  • Stay updated with current research and evidence-based practices in the field of speech-language pathology

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Pennsylvania
  • Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality services and supporting students' overall communication development
