Soliant Health is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school district in Quincy, MA. This is a full-time position for the 2023-2024 school year, providing onsite speech and language therapy services to students in the district.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student IEPs
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, targeting areas such as articulation, language comprehension and expression, fluency, and pragmatics
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop strategies and interventions that support students' communication skills and academic success
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' individualized education plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other required documentation
  • Stay current with research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution
  • Valid license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in the state of Massachusetts
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Prior experience working as an SLP in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and interventions for various speech and language disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and the multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students, prioritize tasks, and work independently
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and experience participating in IEP meetings
