Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a reputable school district in Forrest City, AR. This is a full-time onsite position for the 23-24 school year, specifically working with an elementary caseload. At this time, the district is only considering applicants who hold their Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language abilities
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on students' specific needs and goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders or delays
  • Target areas such as articulation, language comprehension and expression, fluency, and social communication skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication development in the classroom and other settings
  • Monitor students' progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
  • Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to the development and review of students' goals and objectives
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in the field of speech-language pathology
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding effective strategies and accommodations for students with communication needs

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Arkansas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Previous experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dedication to providing high-quality services and supporting students' overall communication development
