Job Title: School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Job Description:
We are seeking a School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 23/24 school year near the Amarillo, TX area. The SLP will provide services to students with speech and language disorders in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working in schools, possess excellent communication skills, and be passionate about helping children succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine the nature and extent of students' speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
- Provide therapy to students individually or in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students' speech and language development
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for students' educational needs
- Maintain accurate and complete records on student evaluations and services provided
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student progress and needs
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field
- Texas state license in Speech Language Pathology
- At least 2 years of experience working as a School Speech Language Pathologist
- Knowledge of federal and state laws governing special education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
