Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Arcadia, Louisiana
Job Description:
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to work with our team of professionals for the upcoming school year. The SLPA will be responsible for providing speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Responsibilities:
- Implementing individualized speech and language therapy plans designed by the SLP
- Conducting therapy sessions with individual students or small groups
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and treatment plans
- Communicating with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the student's care
- Assisting the SLP with assessments and evaluations as needed
- Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with other members of the educational team
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Louisiana SLPA license
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
