Are you a dedicated and passionate educator with a strong commitment to supporting visually impaired students? Do you have the skills and knowledge to make a positive impact in their lives? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Visually Impaired Teacher in Auburn, WA, for the 2023-2024 school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and parents to ensure the best educational experience for visually impaired students.
  • Utilize adaptive technology and resources to enhance learning opportunities.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Keep accurate records and progress reports on student performance.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Visual Impairment.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Braille and other adaptive technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Compassionate and patient approach to teaching.
  • Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
