Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate General Education Math Teacher to join our team of educators in Detroit, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a deep understanding of effective teaching strategies for diverse student populations.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective mathematics instruction aligned with state and district standards
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to engage and support students with diverse learning needs
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and growth
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues and families to support student learning and well-being
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field
• Valid teaching certification in Michigan with endorsement in Mathematics (or eligibility to obtain certification)
• Strong content knowledge in mathematics and understanding of effective teaching strategies
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
