General School Nurse 23/24 SY , Kittredge Colorado

Soliant is currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our educational institution as a contracted healthcare professional for the upcoming 2023/2024 school year. Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and evaluation of their health needs.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs.
• Monitor students with chronic health conditions and ensure appropriate management of their health requirements.
• Assess and respond to medical emergencies and injuries that may occur during school hours.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of assessments, treatments, and communication with parents/guardians and healthcare providers.
• Educate students, families, and staff members on health-related topics, including health promotion and disease prevention.
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment by participating in infection control measures and implementing health policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Colorado license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Previous experience working in a school setting or pediatric healthcare is highly desirable.
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents/guardians, and staff members.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical documentation and utilizing electronic health record systems.

Contract Details:

• This position is for the 2023/2024 school year.
• It is a contracted position with a specified term and compensation package.
• The contracted hours will align with the regular school schedule and may include additional time for meetings and planning.
