Job Title: Head Custodian

Location: West Tisbury, Massachusetts

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Head Custodian to lead the custodial team and ensure the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of our school facilities. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a positive and hygienic environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the work of custodial staff, ensuring efficient daily operations
• Perform and oversee cleaning duties for classrooms, offices, restrooms, and hallways
• Monitor the condition of the school's buildings and equipment, addressing any maintenance needs
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering and maintaining stock as needed
• Lead efforts for special projects, such as event setups, deep cleaning, and seasonal maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant custodial or facilities maintenance experience preferred
• Supervisory experience and leadership skills
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
