Job Summary:
The school district is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Math Teacher to join our team as soon as possible. This is a full-time position for the entire school year. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment in a high school setting, specifically within the Early College Academy.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct high school students in integrated Math 1-3 courses.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress regularly.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Provide additional support to students who may require it.
- Stay current with educational trends and integrate innovative teaching methods into the curriculum.
- Prepare students for standardized tests and college readiness.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school-related events as required.
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Uphold all district policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in the state of California.
- Previous experience teaching integrated Math 1-3 at the high school level.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Adherence to professional ethics and standards.
