Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and evidence-based healthcare to students, promoting their overall well-being and ensuring a safe and healthy school environment.
• Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses, administer medication, and manage chronic health conditions in accordance with established protocols and individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual health plans (IHPs) for students with specific medical needs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records, including immunization records, medication administration logs, and emergency care plans.
• Educate and empower students on health-related topics, including preventive care, healthy lifestyle choices, and managing their own healthcare needs.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care until appropriate medical professionals arrive, ensuring student safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid and current Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
• Experience with adolescent healthcare and knowledge of common health conditions and treatments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Dedication to providing high-quality healthcare and promoting a positive and supportive environment for students.
