Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a contracted position near the Lexington Hills, CA area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the learning and development of students in an elementary school setting.
Key Details:
- Position: School Psychologist
- Duration: Full-time, 2023-2024 school year
- Openings: 1-2 positions available
- Hours: No set hours; professional day structure (arrive 12 minutes before school starts, leave when responsibilities are complete)
- Caseload: Elementary, spanning 1 or 2 sites
- Responsibilities: The School Psychologist will facilitate the learning and development of students by providing psychological, counseling, and resource services, including consultation with school administrators, planning developmental and remedial programs, conducting assessments, and more.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Apply scientific principles of learning and behavior to address school-related problems.
- Consult with school administrators on appropriate learning objectives for children.
- Plan developmental and remedial programs for students in regular and special school programs.
- Develop educational experimentation and evaluation as needed.
- Consult with teachers on classroom methods and procedures to facilitate student learning.
- Collaborate with parents to assist in understanding the learning and adjustment processes of children.
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and diagnose specific learning and behavioral disabilities, including case study evaluations and recommendations for remediation or placement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral Level Degree in School Psychology
- Licensure: Licensed by the state board
