Job Title: School Psychologist
Location Near: Chatsworth, GA area
Job Type: Contracted position for the 2023-2024 school year
Job Description: Soliant is currently hiring a School Psychologist to join a supportive team near the Chatsworth, GA area. This is a full-time position within a small district, and new graduates or out-of-state applicants are welcome to apply. As a School Psychologist, you will be working in-person, providing your expertise to support students' academic, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas of need
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide counseling and intervention services to support students' social-emotional well-being
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral management strategies
- Monitor and track students' progress and make recommendations for additional support or interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' educational goals and accommodations
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in the field of school psychology
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral level degree in School Psychology
- Must be licensed through the state board as a School Psychologist
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
