Job Title: School Psychologist
Location Near: Dinsmore, TX
Job Type: Contracted position for the Extended 2022-2023 and New 2023-2024 school year
Job Description: Soliant is currently seeking a School Psychologist to join a supportive team near the Dinsmore, TX area. This position consists of two parts: Extended School Year (part-time) and the New School Year (full-time). During the Extended School Year, the position is part-time, requiring 2-3 days per week, 5 hours per day in July. For the New School Year, the position is full-time, requiring 30 hours per week. As a School Psychologist, your responsibilities will include testing, evaluations, re-evaluations, and report writing.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Administer and interpret psychological tests and assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans
- Provide counseling and guidance services to students individually or in groups
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop appropriate interventions
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make recommendations for adjustments as needed
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Must be licensed through the state board as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and report writing skills
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
