Hiring a Special Education Teacher in AZ

Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Job Type: Contracted position for the 2023-2024 school year

Job Description: Soliant is currently seeking Special Education Teachers to join our team near the Fort McDowell, AZ area. We have three openings available: one for a middle school (grades 6-8) Special Education Resource Teacher and two for high school (grades 9-12) Special Education Resource Teachers. This is a full-time position, five days per week, starting from July 27, 2023, to May 24, 2024. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be working in an inclusion model, providing push-in or co-teaching support with some pull-out services. The typical caseload is around 16-20 students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education
• Master's or higher degree in Special Education or Teaching Students with Special Needs
• State education certification in Special Education

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support to students with special needs in a resource setting
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodate students' learning needs
• Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
• Implement behavior management strategies and support students' social-emotional development
• Monitor and assess students' progress, and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Work Hours:

• Full-time position, five days per week, following the school calendar (July 27, 2023, to May 24, 2024)
