Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Job Description: Soliant is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team near the Hillsborough, CA area. This is a contracted position for the 2023-2024 school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students with special needs in middle school and elementary school settings. Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with special needs in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the unique learning needs of each student
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to ensure the integration of students with special needs into the mainstream classroom
• Assess student progress and modify instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and IEP goals
• Communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and educational plans

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, followed by a master's or higher degree in Special Education or teaching students with special needs
• Valid California Education Specialist or Mild-Moderate credential
• State education certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred but not required
