Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Job Description: Soliant is seeking a School Psychologist to join a supportive team near the Almeda, CA area. As a School Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological services to students in a self-contained classroom with developmentally delayed students, ranging from PreK to 1st grade. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, and the contract will run from August 2023 to June 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting assessments and evaluations to determine students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans
• Providing counseling and guidance services to students individually or in groups
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop appropriate interventions
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and making adjustments as needed
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations and guidelines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education
• Master's degree or higher in Special Education or Teaching Students with Special Needs
• State education certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with developmental delays or special needs is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
