Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location Near: Conestee, SC

Job Type: Contracted position for the 2023-2024 school year

Job Description: Soliant is currently hiring a Special Education Teacher to join a supportive team near the Conestee, SC area. This position is initially part-time (20 hours) until the end of the current school year, with the opportunity to transition to full-time in the fall. The caseload will focus on early childhood students, and Early Childhood certification is required. The position is available immediately and will be renewed for the following school year.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide direct instruction and support to early childhood students in accordance with their IEPs
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
• Provide support and guidance to students in social, emotional, and behavioral development
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for students' progress and achievements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education
• Master's degree or higher in Special Education or Teaching Students with Special Needs
• State education certification in Special Education
• Early Childhood certification is required
• Experience working with early childhood students with special needs is preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
