Job Description: We are currently seeking committed Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teachers for contracted positions throughout the 2023-2024 school year near the Franklin, MI area. These positions offer the chance to work within center-based programs, providing specialized instruction to students on the autism spectrum.

Key Details:

• Duration: Full 2023-2024 school year
• Center-Based Programs with Inclusion Opportunities: Self-contained classrooms with ongoing efforts to enhance inclusion opportunities for students.
• Maximum Caseload: 7 students, supported by paraprofessionals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to meet the academic, developmental, and functional needs of students on the autism spectrum.
• Implement strategies aligned with Common Core Standards and assess students' progress using academic testing.
• Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the community.

Requirements:

• BS or BA in Special Education with endorsement.
• ASD Certification.
• Proficiency in Common Core Standards and strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Competency in administering and interpreting academic testing.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Certification in CPI (or willingness to obtain and maintain yearly) and a commitment to training in applied behavior analysis.
