Job Summary:

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our team in Glendale, AZ. The Occupational Therapist will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities to promote their independence and improve their daily functioning. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the individual needs and goals of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities, limitations, and goals
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor, sensory, and cognitive abilities
  • Help patients develop or regain skills necessary for activities of daily living (ADLs) and independent living
  • Instruct patients and their families on adaptive strategies and techniques to enhance independence in daily activities
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and interdisciplinary approach
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting carryover of therapy outcomes
  • Stay current with advancements in the field of occupational therapy through professional development activities

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Arizona
  • Experience working with patients with physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and evidence-based practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
