Job Summary:

We are seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Glenville, AL. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to assist in providing evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with speech and language disorders. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the individual needs and goals of patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of patients with speech and language disorders
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a licensed Speech Language Pathologist
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' speech and language abilities
• Administer standardized tests and document patient progress
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to improve speech and language functioning
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to provide input and recommendations regarding patient care
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in the field of speech language pathology

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Alabama 
• Experience working with patients with speech and language disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
