We are seeking a Histology Technician to join our Pathology team in Atlanta, GA. As a Histology Technician, you will be responsible for performing specimen preparatory functions and providing clerical and technical support in Pathology. You will be responsible for transporting specimens from inside hospital locations to the laboratory in a safe and timely manner and distributing them to the correct testing areas. You will ensure the quality of specimen and accurate patient information on specimens and requisitions prior to transport. You will organize surgical and cytological specimens for the accessioning process and prepare blood, tissue, and body fluid specimens required for technical analysis, including proper specimen identification, centrifugation of specimens, slide preparation, and other functions. You will operate centrifuges, stainers, and other equipment necessary to process specimens.

- Associates or Bachelor's degree in histotechnology or a related field
- ASCP certification or eligibility preferred
- At least one year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Travel experience required
