Have sterile compounding experience? This position is for you! There is an open home infusion compounding position for a pharmacy technician. Responsibilities:
- Perform sterile compounding in a cleanroom environment.
- Adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines
- pulling medications and supplies to prep the IV room.
- Sterilizing and cleaning the IV room per 797 guidelines
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- Perform calculations to ensure accurate dosing and mixing of ingredients.
- Maintain accurate records of compounding activities and patient information.
- Regularly inspect and maintain compounding equipment and workspaces to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines governing pharmaceutical compounding.
- Assist in filling prescriptions and handling data entry tasks when required.
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper storage of medications.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
- CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
Professional Experience Requirements:
- Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Recent pharmacy experience, with a preference for IV experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule: Day shift, 8:30-5:00pm.
Pay: $20-$24 (depending on experience)
