Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician skilled in imaging to support cardiovascular procedures in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work within a renowned academic medical center known for cutting-edge research and patient care excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the cardiology team during diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures
- Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality angiograms and other cardiovascular images
- Prepare the cath lab for procedures, including setting up sterile fields and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist in maintaining patient safety throughout procedures
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other team members to optimize workflow and patient outcomes
- Adhere strictly to infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification as a Cath Lab Tech or equivalent credentials
- Proven expertise in cardiovascular imaging, particularly in catheterization labs
- Ability to operate fluoroscopy, angiography, and other specialized imaging equipment
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Prior experience in a hospital cath lab environment preferred
