This opportunity seeks a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional procedures within a cardiac catheterization lab. The role involves using advanced medical imaging techniques, such as cardiovascular radiography, to diagnose heart and vascular conditions affecting arteries, valves, and blood vessels.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and assist in complex cardiac procedures, including percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and chronic total occlusions (CTO)
  • Operate and manage medical imaging equipment in the catheterization and angiography lab
  • Conduct electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation and monitor cardiovascular status
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure precision during multiple wire exchanges, utilizing long wires and over-the-wire (OTW) balloons
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with medical staff

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Surgical Technician Certification
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification mandatory
  • Previous experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or angiography lab preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, coronary heart disease, and electrocardiography
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
