A specialized role is available for a skilled Imaging Cath Lab Technologist to support advanced cardiac care within a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract opportunity is based in Dunnellon, FL, offering an engaging clinical environment with exposure to cutting-edge cardiology procedures.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cardiac cath lab setting
- Proficiency with diagnostic and interventional right and left heart catheterizations
- Experience with peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures highly preferred
- Familiarity with equipment such as GE labs, Impella, Balloon pump, Penumbra, and IVUS
- Competency in Merge Hemo documentation system and adherence to call and STEMI policies
- Electrophysiology (EP) experience is an advantage
Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac catheterization and peripheral procedures with precision and care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain excellent patient safety and outcomes
- Respond to rotating call schedule and support STEMI coverage, including possible floating to sister hospital as needed
- Maintain compliance with all unit-specific protocols and hospital policies
- Utilize and manage advanced cath lab equipment efficiently
