Support advanced cardiovascular procedures as a Cath Lab Technologist performing critical technical and patient care functions in a dynamic catheterization laboratory environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered ARRT certification required, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) certification required within 18 months of hire
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with cardiovascular-specific certification or certified RCIS or RCES also accepted
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association endorsed)
- Fluoroscopy certification required; radiation badges will be provided by the staffing vendor
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing technical support during cardiac catheterization and invasive cardiovascular procedures
- Assisting physicians by operating imaging equipment and acting as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile technique
- Monitoring and documenting procedure images and clinical events from the control room
- Delivering pre- and post-procedure education to patients and their families regarding expectations and physical care
- Managing unit cleanliness and maintaining adequate stock levels for procedures
- Completing accurate and timely documentation including daily, progress, and discharge notes
- Engaging in patient safety initiatives and quality improvement projects by identifying and addressing potential hazards or inefficiencies
- Upholding organizational mission and values by following established service behavior standards
- Additional duties as assigned relevant to Cath Lab workflow
