Cardiac Catheterization Technologist | Littleton, Colorado

Support advanced cardiovascular procedures as a Cath Lab Technologist performing critical technical and patient care functions in a dynamic catheterization laboratory environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Registered ARRT certification required, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) certification required within 18 months of hire
• Registered Respiratory Therapist with cardiovascular-specific certification or certified RCIS or RCES also accepted
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association endorsed)
• Fluoroscopy certification required; radiation badges will be provided by the staffing vendor

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing technical support during cardiac catheterization and invasive cardiovascular procedures
• Assisting physicians by operating imaging equipment and acting as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile technique
• Monitoring and documenting procedure images and clinical events from the control room
• Delivering pre- and post-procedure education to patients and their families regarding expectations and physical care
• Managing unit cleanliness and maintaining adequate stock levels for procedures
• Completing accurate and timely documentation including daily, progress, and discharge notes
• Engaging in patient safety initiatives and quality improvement projects by identifying and addressing potential hazards or inefficiencies
• Upholding organizational mission and values by following established service behavior standards
• Additional duties as assigned relevant to Cath Lab workflow
