Travel Cath Lab Tech in Mount Olive, NC

Support cardiovascular procedures by expertly assisting physicians with digital radiographic imaging of the heart, peripheral vessels, and other necessary structures. Key Responsibilities:

• Skillfully operate radiographic equipment to acquire precise diagnostic images, setting appropriate x-ray parameters for cardiac and peripheral vessels.
• Assist physicians during procedures by adjusting the radiographic table and anticipating clinical needs, while maintaining patient safety and sterile techniques.
• Practice strict radiation safety measures, utilizing protective attire and adhering to facility protocols.
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment daily, performing quality control checks and managing in-room inventory following regulatory standards.
• Document and manage patient data via specialized systems for record-keeping, charge entry, and quality improvement.
• Administer injectable fluids, insert IVs, and assist with lines/devices under physician supervision.
• Troubleshoot and maintain cath lab equipment, ensuring operational readiness and coordinating maintenance or repairs.
• Potentially assume informal lead responsibilities, including staff training and workflow coordination.
• Prioritize tasks efficiently to handle varying case volumes and ensure accurate data recording and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Certification and experience as a Cath Lab Tech, Imaging Cath Lab Tech, or Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech.
• Expertise in hemodynamics, diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, and peripheral vascular imaging.
• Proficiency with specialized systems such as IVUS, HeartLab, ICE, and Combo Map.
• Commitment to radiation safety and sterile procedural techniques.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
