A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist with expertise in Cath Lab imaging to support critical cardiac procedures. This role involves preparing the Cath Lab environment and equipment, performing hemodynamic monitoring, and participating directly in cardiac catheterization procedures. The position requires maintaining sterile techniques, practicing radiation safety, and correlating invasive and non-invasive test results to assist physicians in delivering optimal patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the Cath Lab for cardiac procedures, ensuring all supplies and equipment are appropriately set up.
- Perform and monitor hemodynamic and control room duties throughout procedures.
- Execute cardiac catheterization and stress tests following established safety and procedural protocols.
- Correlate test results to identify the need for further intervention and communicate findings to physicians.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards to protect patients and staff.
- Transport patients as needed and fulfill additional duties to support departmental operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid North Dakota Medical Imaging License or ability to obtain one within 12 months.
- Certification as RCIS or RCES is highly preferred; ARRT credential holders will also be considered.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Proven knowledge of Cath Lab procedures and imaging technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively collaborate within a clinical team.
Schedule & Contract:
- Day shift with early or late start options.
- 24-hour call every 3-4 weekends and 1-2 weekdays.
- Five 8-hour shifts per week.
- 13-week contract duration.
