Cath Lab Tech in Yoakum, TX

A specialized opportunity is available for a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technician in Yoakum, TX. This contract role is designed for professionals with a strong background in cardiac imaging and catheterization procedures. The position requires adept technical skills and critical thinking to assist Cardiologists and Imaging Directors in delivering precise and timely cardiac studies.

Qualifications:

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from recognized organizations
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cardiac cath lab setting
• Proficient in MedHost and MacLab electronic medical records systems
• Ability to manage a 1:1 patient ratio effectively

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the performance and execution of imaging studies in the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Work under the direction of the Cardiologist, Chief Technologist, or Director of Imaging Services to ensure accurate and timely procedures
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety throughout all cath lab procedures
• Adhere to scrub color protocols and sterile techniques
• Comply with scheduling requirements including on-call duty every other week

Schedule:

• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• On-call for seven days every other week
• No 48-hour shifts or block scheduling; maximum return to office of 3 days
