CT Tech in Atlanta, GA

A radiologic technologist specializing in computed tomography (CT) is needed for a night shift contract position. This role offers the chance to apply your technical expertise while delivering compassionate patient care in a dynamic clinical environment. The schedule is Sunday through Tuesday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures independently, ensuring patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.
• Verify clinician orders and obtain comprehensive patient histories to assess for contraindications.
• Prepare and position patients, applying contrast media following strict protocols.
• Utilize critical thinking to adjust technique for radiation dose reduction without compromising image quality.
• Maintain and clean imaging equipment per infection control standards.
• Assist with emergency procedures, restocking crash carts, and life support equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to address patient needs and clarify orders.
• Follow all documentation, quality control, and regulatory procedures, including pre- and post-procedural care.
• Support cross-modality technologists when necessary and engage in ongoing departmental training.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current certifications: ARRT Radiography, ARRT Computed Tomography (CT), and Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience in radiology, with CT experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
• Proficient in radiation safety, patient positioning, and quality control procedures.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
