Computed Tomography Tech | Chicago, Illinois

An opportunity is available for an experienced CT technologist to provide advanced imaging services in a dynamic hospital setting located in Chicago, IL. This contract position offers the chance to utilize specialized skills in CT imaging to support the diagnosis and treatment of a diverse patient population, including inpatients, outpatients, emergency room, and stroke patients.

Key responsibilities include performing routine and emergency CT exams, including CT angiography (CTA), with a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy. The role requires competency in IV insertion and venipuncture, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams. Experience with EPIC charting systems, GE PACS, and GE CT scanners is essential to ensure accurate imaging and documentation.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT technologist
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT certification in CT imaging
• Proficiency in performing routine and emergency CT and CTA exams
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
• Competency with IV and venipuncture techniques
• Ability to work independently with strong communication skills
• Experience working with EPIC, GE PACS, and GE CT scanner equipment

Schedule and Work Details:

• Weekend rotation every third weekend
• Holiday coverage expected, including New Year’s Eve (11p-11a shift)
• Up to 7 days off can be approved
• No on-call requirements
• Hospital orientation includes one shift on the unit
• Parking is provided at no cost
