CT Technologist - Cottonwood, California

An established California hospital is seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a contract role in their dynamic Diagnostic Radiology department. This position supports a fast-paced setting and involves working with diverse patient populations, including those in the OR, ER, as well as inpatient and outpatient cases. Candidates must be adaptable, proactive, and ready to deliver high-quality imaging services in a Level II Trauma environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ recent CT experience (will consider first-time travelers with strong credentials)
• Current ARRT(CT) certification
• Active California Radiologic Technologist license (Rad Tech I or II with CT)
• BLS certification
• Fluoroscopy certificate through the state of California
• Proficient using Cerner EMR and Philips iPatient 64 or Big Bore 16 CT equipment
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, well-staffed radiology environment
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred, but not mandatory
• Effective communication skills; ability to work independently
• Self-starter and ready to contribute from day one

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality CT scans for OR, ER, inpatient, and outpatient cases
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety
• Adjust to variable shift assignments (8, 10, or 12-hour shifts as determined by the department)
• Be available for potential holiday and on-call shifts as required
• Support a well-staffed department; demonstrate flexibility during less-resourced night shifts
• Follow departmental protocols and maintain strict adherence to safety standards
• Complete 1-2 shifts of specific orientation in the department
