A healthcare imaging professional is needed to perform CT scans with precision and care in a night shift role located in Cumming, GA. This contract position requires a dependable and flexible individual who can adapt to the department’s needs and deliver accurate diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for CT procedures, ensuring proper identification and protocol adherence.
- Operate CT equipment independently, maintaining image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Administer contrast media safely following established procedures.
- Review and verify imaging results for diagnostic quality before releasing patients.
- Respond to emergencies, restock crash carts, and maintain life support equipment.
- Assist colleagues across imaging modalities when needed.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality in compliance with infection control standards.
- Accurately document procedures and communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Follow quality control protocols to produce consistent, high-quality imaging studies.
- Support department operations by restocking supplies and performing clerical tasks as required.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certifications required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience; less than 1 year CT experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and radiation safety.
