CT Tech in Evanston, IL

Seeking a skilled CT technologist to support a busy healthcare environment known for advanced patient care and service. This position is based in Evanston, IL, and offers a contract opportunity ideal for professionals with a minimum of three years’ experience in CT imaging.

Key responsibilities include performing routine and emergency CT exams with proficiency in CTA/angiography, maintaining a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, and demonstrating competency in IV placement and venipuncture. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with EPIC charting systems, GE PACS, and GE CT scanners is essential.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of CT imaging experience
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT-CT certification required
• Ability to perform both routine and emergency CT procedures, including angiography
• Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and IV/venipuncture skills
• Experience working with EPIC, GE PACS, and GE CT Scanner systems
• Strong communication and independent working capabilities

Schedule / Hours:

• Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend
• Holiday coverage including New Year’s Eve (11p-11a shift)
• Up to 7 days approved for time off
• No on-call responsibilities

This hospital features a Level II NICU and serves a broad patient population, including inpatient, outpatient, ER, and stroke patients. The patient-to-tech ratio is maintained at 1:1, ensuring focused care. Orientation includes a hospital overview plus one shift on the unit for a seamless transition.
