The role focuses on conducting routine and STAT CT exams across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. Located in Gastonia, NC, this healthcare facility offers a supportive work environment with access to advanced imaging technology, including a GE Revolution Apex scanner and Bayer MedRad dual-head contrast injector. The site provides free parking and uses EPIC for EMR with Philips iSite PACS for imaging management. Gastonia is a vibrant city known for its welcoming community and convenient access to the Charlotte metropolitan area. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT imaging procedures for diverse patient types, including ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient.
- Coordinate and prioritize examinations effectively to ensure timely care, especially in emergent cases such as stroke alerts.
- Utilize post-processing techniques and maintain strict adherence to quality and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with clinical teams using EPIC and RIS systems to document and share imaging results accurately.
- Participate in an onboarding process including administrative training and department-specific orientation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a CT Technologist, first-time travel applicants welcome.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory.
- Proficiency with GE CT equipment, preferably Revolution Apex.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting with strong organizational skills.
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts, primarily Friday through Sunday, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
- Weekend rotation required, with holiday work as scheduled.
