Provide advanced diagnostic imaging services in a dynamic clinical environment located in Hamilton, CO. This contract role focuses on delivering high-quality CT and MRI imaging, with additional exposure to X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and other modalities. The position demands precise image acquisition, strict adherence to radiation safety standards, and patient-focused care that includes educating patients about imaging procedures to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT and MRI scans in line with established protocols, ensuring detailed and accurate imaging results.
- Conduct additional imaging procedures including X-ray, Fluoroscopy with C-arm, and operate within operating rooms as needed.
- Adhere to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principles.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment issues, facilitating timely maintenance through service engineers.
- Maintain thorough, accurate patient records within electronic health records (EHR), ensuring correct billing for procedures and supplies.
- Assist with clerical functions, patient reception, and transport duties to support smooth operational flow.
- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting other imaging modalities, covering shifts, and participating in on-call or overtime assignments.
- Engage in ongoing training, including cross-training fellow staff and pursuing additional certifications as required.
- Uphold organizational values and professional standards in communication, dress code, confidentiality, and safety protocols.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with certifications in Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred two years’ experience performing CT and MRI imaging in a practice setting.
- Experience with PACS, RIS/HIS electronic record systems, and cross-training in other modalities such as DEXA and Mammography is advantageous.
- Must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the U.S., and able to pass background, drug, and health screenings.
